Upcoming things I'm excited about.

April 19 - Mortal Kombat 9 comes out: This game is going to be insanely awesome. The demo alone is great, and they’ve made changes/fixes since that version. The characters look great, the fighting looks great, the fatalities are awesome as always, the ladder is badass, the x-ray specials are cool as shit. Everything about the game just screams amazing.

April 22 - Nevermore/Symphony X concert: I’ve seen Nevermore more 3 times already and Symphony X twice. That doesn’t matter to me. Nevermore is damn amazing and I’d see them every chance I possibly could. They’re my favorite band and every time I see them live, they make me love them more and more. They sound better live than they do on album. I like Symphony X and all, but obviously they’re not what I’m mostly excited for. =)

May 6 - Thor in theaters: A lot of people are saying that this movie looks like it’s going to suck. Well, I obviously disagree. Yes, Marvel has made a few shitty movies, but as of lately, they’ve been amazing! I truly think this will be badass. Thor already happened to be one of my favorite Marvel characters, probably for all the wrong reasons lol. I love him because I love Mythology, although the Marvel character doesn’t have much to do with the myth character. That’s what people don’t seem to understand. Marvel took the concept of Thor (Odin and Loki included) from Norse Myth and changed it up. This movie is supposed to follow the comic, not the myth. Besides, everyone should always remember there will never be a comic book movie to follow the comic in every aspect. There will always be differences, and people should be able to look at them as a whole different thing instead of dwelling over the differences. Stop complaining and enjoy it! Oh yeah, I was worried about Chris Hemsworth because I had no idea who he was, but now he seems perfect for the part. =)

June 3 - X-Men: First Class in theaters: I actually just saw the trailer for this for the first time this morning. Don’t get me wrong, it looks really good but I’m kind of sick of the X-Men movies. 3 out of 4 of them weren’t all that great with Wolverine being the only one that was good to me. When I first saw the others I liked them, but watching them again recently, I wasn’t too fond. I still like the first one, but Wolverine was still better. Regardless of the negative feelings about this movie, I’m still excited to see how it will turn out. I guess because it’s a prequel I should expect something different since it’s supposed to be. It’s supposed to be before Professor X and Magneto were them, when they were Xavier and Erik. So, I’m looking forward to seeing the turn out.

June 17 - Green Lantern in theaters: I’m not a DC fan. As a matter of fact, I hate DC comics. I’m a HUGE Marvel fan and I know many will disagree with me on that, but that’s why it is MY OPINION. Regardless of my hatred for DC, I’ve still always liked Green Lantern. I think Ryan Reynolds (regardless of his previous character for Marvel as Deadpool) is a good choice to play Hal Jordan. I think I might actually be most excited for the movie because of Ryan. I think he’s a really good actor and can pull this off well (and he’s attractive haha). The movie looks really good. I only know the basics of the main DC characters unlike with Marvel how I know a whole crap ton (obviously because I favor them). I guess I just overall enjoy watching comic book movies regardless if it’s DC or Marvel, just to see how it turned out.

July 22 - Captain America: The First Avenger in theaters: Everybody seems as excited as I am for Captain America. As I’ve mentioned previously being a huge Marvel fan, I love most of their character, Captain America being one of them. I think Chris Evans fits the role well (plus I think he’s hot! haha). Just because he played a previous Marvel character (The Human Torch/Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four) doesn’t mean it should be a big deal for him to play another. That’s one thing people seem to be complaining about. They’re not based off of real people! There’s no reason why it should matter that one man plays two Marvel heroes. The only way it should matter is if they’re supposed to run into each other later on, and they could still change the actor. Big friggen whoop. It’s the story of how Steve Rogers becomes Captain America, and it looks damn awesome! I am definitely looking forward to this.

I talk a lot. Lol

Quitting Smoking...

Ok, so I'm 23 years old and have been smoking since I was 10 (yeah I know, horrible lol). I've attempted to quit smoking probably about 25 times or more, literally. I hate it in just about every way possible. But because it's become part of my life and I've been smoking most of my life, nothing has worked. I've tried cold turkey, a combination of regular sugar-free gum and sunflower seeds (oddly enough, sunflower seeds help me not think of smoking nearly as much as usual), and now I just tried the nicotine patches. I lasted about 3 weeks once by quitting cold turkey, 1 month with the gum and seeds, and not even an entire day with the patches.

I had the patches on for exactly 3 days. The first day I didn't smoke for half the day, but I was getting so many pains and 'side effects' already, all from the patch. I was getting tingling feelings in my whole arm of where the patch was located (felt like loss of circulation), my hand was swelling up, the patch area was itching like crazy (which is normal), I was getting the 'escaping itch' (when you're itchy in one spot and you attempt to scratch it but it 'escapes' to another area and keeps doing that), my arm was feeling very heavy like there was a 15 lb weight inside my arm, my hand was feeling numb at some times, I was getting some seriously unexplainable head aches that were quite intense, the head aches lead into my neck and down my spine, and my heart was hurting really bad.

Those are all supposed to be 'side effects' of smoking with a patch on, which means you are overdosing on nicotine. But this all started the first day during the time of the day I wasn't smoking at all. So one patch alone can cause someone to overdose on nicotine? How safe can these patches really be? If I go according to what the 'side effects' are supposed to be of using the patch while smoking, I could have had a damn heart attack the first day, while not smoking.

I ended up smoking later in the day (which was pretty stupid, I know) and all of those 'side effects' only got twice as worse, of course. The patch didn't help me feel less of a need to smoke, I think it made me feel more of a need. As of more recently (about a year and a half or so ago), I've been getting pains all over my body, bad pains, which would annoy me and make me want to smoke more, so it became part of my habit to smoke more as the pains increase. That being said, that may be the reason why I started smoking on the patch in the first place. 3 days passed on the patch and I took it off because the 'side effects' were only getting so much worse. I took off the patch yesterday, and I still feel these pains. I couldn't play any games because of them. I attempted to play some PS3 and my hand went numb for a little, back to normal, then I was getting that horrible tingling sensation as if i were losing circulation, then back to normal, and finally, my arm started to feel like it was being stretched by the inside, as if it were about to explode. So, obviously it was a little more difficult to play games, so I stopped.

Is it just me, or do these damn nicotine patches sound pretty evil? I could have dealt with the arm stuff if it wasn't for the additional head pounding pains and the feeling of my heart about to explode. I know everybody gets different side effects, but I'd like to know if anyone else that has tried the patches have felt any of these things WITHOUT smoking with it on?

My first blog... Ever.

So obviously by the title, this is my first blog. I've never done this before, so here's my attempt.

My main interests are games and metal music so this will most likely partially be about that, but mostly about my condition because I not only need to talk about it, but I really need help with it. Nobody knows what's wrong with me but something definitely is, and it sucks. People are definitely much worse than I am but I'm allowed to complain too, right? =)

My entire damn body hurts inside and out, top to bottom, and I'm a broke ass, so I really need some help, but don't get me wrong, although I'm in crap loads of pain and I need to talk about it, that doesn't mean I'm not a happy person. I just don't want to burden my friends about my bitching and complaining about it. So it only made sense that I create a blog partially for it, not just for complaining, but also to help me remember all my problems to tell the doctors because it's just that much lol.

Hopefully this blog gets accepted, and if it does, you will all see that I really just might be entertaining. =) For all of you gamers and metalheads, I'll have lots to say for you guys. And for all those curious about strange unknown diseases, this is the place for you too lol. Hope you all enjoy.
